[Rebuild] Tenonning Jig

Hi here is a rebuild of a tool found in the encyclopedia :


Here is my version, slightly different, I found a little improvement to make

The front is the same, except I didn't have phenolic plywood, so I made it with outdoor plywood.


Here is the improvement, to get a more clear reference and guaranty that the workpiece is old square to the surface of the table, I enlarged the strut with the handle towards the right, so that it slides on the table.


The assemblies are made as on the original one.


To have a good gliding on the aluminium and steel, I rubbed the sliding surfaces with paraffin wax.

Your jig adaptation is beautifully made using the outdoor plywood. I have a couple questions: 1) what are the approximate dimensions of the vertical jig carriage? 2) did you make your own table saw fence from an aluminum u-channel or did it come with the saw?

Thanks for the comment,
For the dimensions, if I remember well, it is 30cm high.
And yes, the fence is the original one, of square section, and it is anchored on both ends.
I really like my new Schepach (PRECISA 3) saw.
After some setup, it is really accurate, and these fine tuning mechanisms I have both on the parallel guide and on the stop of the carriage are magical !
