1942 short film: The Machinist and Toolmaker

A short Vocational Guidance film from 1942, to encourage young people to enter the machining trade. A look back into a very different America. I'm envious of the school machine shop at 8:56; we didn't have anything like that when I was in school.

Thanks Jon, this was a fun flash back. Enjoyed seeing all the old iron and particularly liked the giant armature cutter/shaper at around 6:46...that was impressive and never seen how that was done till now. Also loved the haircuts. :cool: The "Career" verbiage was also from that era of work hard ethic...definitely no OSHA around either. Great find and thanks for sharing it with us.
