I have one just like that sitting out in the garage. Dad gave it to me probably 30 years ago. I need to make new jaws for it a well. I used it for a while to hold leather that I was sewing with 2 needles. I'll have to get it out and restore it.
That was good use of some plywood what a beautiful restoration you did, its a keeper. Cap.
