    auto center punch

    Hey fellow tool enthusiasts,

A while back I pondered the possibility of making my own auto punch, well nothing ventured, nothing gained they say. Decided the best way to approach the task was to do the housing first then fit the insides. A lot of growling and screw ups later... If only our machines could talk!!

Most fun with a video I recall. Maybe second, but it's a long list.
Don't have to talk me into one [see left], but I really admire the concept and developing of a conversational thought process, and morphing Minnie's dialog.
Minnie, meet Mr. Demille, Cecil meet Minnie!
Literally I'm sitting here, imagining what voice conveys my machine...

Brilliant Stevoh! I just mentioned that about talking with machines in a post the other day and I laughed out loud at least 4 times with your dialog, Bravo! Your videography was some of the best with shot selection and lighting and the printing animation was a hoot, perfectly timed. You elevated YT with your production, something sorely needed, imho!!

Your machine work was stunning and some of the best knurling I've seen here on HMT and you put a beautiful pommel on it, which should be on all spring loaded punches in my book. As Doug said a great tutorial/example too and you've got my vote for Tool of the Week also. Those are difficult to make and have them work properly as you demonstrated at the end. My hat's off to you for a Great Post, excellent videography and build...oh and that sketch was Beautiful...almost bristol board and ink worthy!

    Made my morning...Thanks!
