Bench Block
I made this block from a small piece of 4140 steel I had sitting on the shelf for quiet some time, I had been wondering what to make with it for a while, It finally hit me, a bench block !
I don't use something like this very often but it will come in handy once in a while, It was made from a piece of 4140 steel hardened and ground after machining, It's 4" in diameter and 1.500" thick, A very simple little project.
Below are some photos
as always thanks for looking and happy machining

Doug,
Great use of the 4140 steel and very well finished. I think the grinding on the surface finish looks almost like a gage block finish. Is the bench block hollow or solid? Thank you for showing us the bench block project.
