    Benchtop bench and Moxon vise

This is a project made in may-2012.

The initial purpose of this workbench was to raise the working height in order to make it more comfortable, and help to hold the workpiece while working on it. In progress, the idea of adding a Moxon vise and a top vise emerged.

The top of the workbench was made with ¾” plywood (leftover piece of 63 x 34 cm), covered with 5 mm macocel. It has 5/8” holes every 9.6 cm, such as in Festool multifunction table (MFT).

The jaws of the Moxon vise and the top vise were made from 2 x 3" pine wood. The screws of the Moxon vise are reused miter saw clamps. The base was made with leftover plywood.

I'm still in the neophyte stage....trying to find/make space in my unheated garage to allow for a possible wood workshop and to figure out what kind of projects I could reasonably expect to make. It will be an ongoing adventure.
