After seeing so many youtubers doing reviews of tools from banggood.com, I thought I'd try a small item to test the quality. DON'T bother! I'd say stay away! The tools are probably the same chinese crap being sold by many vendors but the prices are much lower so my curiosity got the best of me.

My payment was declined mulitple times when I tried paying thru paypal, then declined from my credit card! I never had a problem anywhere else, nothing wrong with my card. I'm wishing I never sent my credit card number now but will keep a careful eye on all transactions for a while.

So now my account with them is showing 4 pending payment orders with them for each of the failed transactions with no way to cancel them. (I sent an email but won't hold my breath!) If I get charged for these some chinese heads are gonna roll!

If they can't even get the payment part right, I'd hate to see what crap they actually sell. A search on google for reviews of them turned up more bad news than I thought I'd find. They are not to be trusted.


Anyone else have dealings with them??

Thanks for the heads up, I have been tempted by the prices but have not gone there yet and I dont think I will now.

Banggood are spreading like a virus on YouTube right now, so many machinist channels are turning into reveiw channels their stuff it's despairing. What gets me is that a couple well knowns have also started using BG stuff and they have a shop filled with Mitatoyo, Starret and other precision tooling that many a hobbyists only ever get to drool over but rarely ever own.

I understand that it might be the only way, in some cases, for a few to enjoy this hobby and maybe even a benificial move for others to get a cheap version of something to try out before sinking a heavy investment into the decent version but it just seems like a step backward for the working machinist to consider using their stuff seriously and giving free items to YouTubers is BG's sneaky way to get a cheap form of advertising is my guess.

BG (I vote posts are edited to acronym, not give their name any promotional boost) pops up in my searches continually. I'm a discerning buyer too.
I rate infinite return on search terms like what happens on yeebay; a zillion clowns selling identical item without so much an individual photo. Try '4"/110mm plastic caliper' for example. Copy/ paste JPEGS and/or text signal: no deal. Period.
I'd place BG central to entire influx of lowgrade items, lowest price = ground level contractor in marketing chain of a broad cottage industry.

Rather go to HFT or big box and pick up something for more $ with a perfect return policy; though I have little from there and none un-modded. Most came from craiglsist anyway, intending mods from the start.
Rarely is hurry needed for durable goods.
Just compile a list of search terms, find what you want, for an acceptable price. Personal [at least 50 years worth] buying preference is used. Trimo, Armstrong, Roper-Whitney, Craftsman, Milwaukee, Crescent, Diamond, Rigid, Xcelite,...etc. Never a problem.
