Different animals adapt to their immediate, likely unnatural environment. It just has to be, that one discovers or observes something it can duplicate and others pick up on it. Great proof toward 'survival of the fittest'; if not evolution, because same species elsewhere haven't developed same trick.
Can report one instance, repeated everytime I mow. Of all the birds common to our area, robins and orioles follow me, where shorter grass reveals all kinds of treats. I suspect its bugs because various random seeds are evident, mown or not.
