Brass Hammer 20 ounce
While I was making the replaceable face hammer I decided to make a larger brass one.
Weighting in at 20 ounces (head only) the entire hammer is made of brass.
Head is 3 3/8" long and 1.250" in diameter and threaded 1/2-13.
The handle is 10 1/4" long including the end cap and 3/4" in diameter.
End cap is threaded 1/2-13 so the handle has room for whatever.
At 20 ounces it can "bump" hard if needed.

JR,
You put a beautiful finish on the contour part of your hammer, good looking knurling and I also like the handle storage idea.

The first one is the best for me....:bananadance:
-
Yep, that is kinda a speciality hammer that can do it all.
The other two are just "shop tools"

How did you get all those knurls so evenly spaced?

Hello Captain, I just knurled the entire length and then using a parting tool and my shop made DRO for the lathe,
stepped off equal distances for the shallow cut.
