C-Clamp English Wheel
Here's a small English Wheel that I recently completed that uses a C-clamp for the frame. I'm going to use to make some small scale sheetmetal forming of various things, but probably along the lines of a pedal car or smaller.
The full details of how I built it is shown here on my website:
English Wheel |
I'm a newbie at shaping sheetmetal in compound curves, so the small scale english wheel will allow me to focus on technique without wasting a bunch of sheetmetal.
I built this in my small garage in China, using a more limited set of tools than what I'm used to in my main shop back home in South Dakota. I eventually plan to buy/make a regular size or large English Wheel for the SD shop.
Let me know if anyone has any questions.

THAT is an interesting tool. Most English wheels I've seen are more than man-sized.

Great site you've got there Kent! Size is perfect for small panel work. I might take this route, I'm really low on real estate. Thanks for sharing!
