This 1963 2-door Chevrolet Impala was bought as an abandoned project and restored by [ UNEASY ] on ImpalaForums.com in a 5-year-long build thread.

What's notable about the build is how clean, neat, and basic it came out. When the factory 283 was replaced with a 350, the builder made a custom alternator so that the engine bay could look clean. He painted the vehicle satin black himself (with the exception of the candy apple red roof, which was done by a painter friend), and even had all of the fasteners black zinc coated. Air bags and a power brake kit were added.

This is a great example of a vehicle that starts out as a rusty abandoned mess, and ends up being featured in a magazine.
