Circular plane
Attachment 27101I made this plane some years ago for a long forgotten project but used it this week to smooth the rockers on a chair I am making. The plane worked as designed to form both the inner and outer edge radius. The design is loosely taken from the Stanley #20. The sole is from a handsaw, the blade and cap iron from a hanger queen and the rest from scraps.Attachment 27099Attachment 27100

"hanger queen" meaning an aircraft that sits forlorn in a hanger ?
-
Yes, as I rejuvenate old planes as well as make new ones I have many parts from planes that I can’t save but they have to be baaaaad. I just saved a Stanley 10 1/2 by having a new sole and adjustable trout cast for it so sometimes I get carried away

That compass plane looks superb and I would bet it works very well too.
