Clamp On Tractor Bucket Hitch Receiver

Many times, I have my backhoe attached to my New Holland Ag-tractor and it's inconvenient to remove it in order to use the trailer hitch when I have to move trailers around on our farm. The solution was to fabricate a clamp on hitch receiver that I could quickly attach and remove to my tractor loader bucket whenever needed. The design parameters were dictated by the amount and size of the flat bar I had on hand in my shop. I did purchase a 2" receiver tube, 18" long from Harbor Freight Tools for about 15 bucks with a discount coupon. I have several hitches of different sizes that I can fit into the receiver to accommodate all of my various trailers and equipment. Here are some pictures and I also put a basic drawing together in CAD and printed to pdf format. If you wish to build one, you may have to alter some of the dimensions to fit your particular tractor bucket. This is one of my tools that gets used on a regular basis around the farm.
