Cold Chisel
A nice little Cold Chisel I made in Jr. High about 1971, back when schools had wood shop and metal shop. Those class spured a life long habit of working with wood and metal. So I became an Marine Engineer and a Aircraft Mechanic. It is a shame these class are gone from the schools. Attachment 1079

Thanks Catfish!
Schools have dropped shop classes?!? How can that be? I absolutely loved the time I spent in wood and metal shop as a 13-15 year old kid. My father wasn't handy, yet I always loved to build things, so shop class was my earliest opportunity to learn safe tool use - to say nothing of craftsmanship. I've spent quite a bit of time with airplanes, myself, having completed an RV-8 and built the wings of a Model 12 Pitts. Small world, eh? :)
I've added your Cold Chisel to our Metalworking category, as well as to your builder page: Catfish's Homemade Tools. Your receipt:

Yes, I believe that teaching young minds basic shop skills is very important. Too bad that these are being left out nowadays.
