I have not understood the underlying design, could you please elaborate. regards
its basically bit of rd bar turned down.
tapped m10 inernal then slit run down full length with two slits half way down at 120deg from each other to allow it clamp tightly rd threaded bar so threads dont get damaged by lathe chuck.
its not prettiest thing going but works and was done whilst still learning how to use lathe
