Its difficult to fathom the complexity of one of these ships and the million miles of welding involved in their construction once you see them floating in the water. These snap shots of the sections show some of it

I appreciate Frank S's observation and fact no matter how much competition there is between foreign industries certain things are adopted as standard.
Like placing the odd numbered stations to port. Aircraft are drawn essentially the very same way, and most prints of the one side only.
