    Crock Pot?? What to make?

Ok, so my 10 year old son was washing the dishes and accidently dropped the crock pot ceramic liner and shattered it. Since my wife is now going to get a new crock pot...what can I make this old one into that is useful?

The ceramic liner is smashed, but I can fab up or repurpose an old pot to use in it's place. I just can't think of it's new purpose in my garage. Maybe a heated parts washer?

    Any ideas??

Use it for keeping a hot drink hot..
Maybe salvage the parts for an arc welding electrode oven, preheats the rods and drives off the moisture to ease welding.
If you do traditional woodwork then a Rabbit-skin glue heater/melter.
    Heating snacks in the workshop

There's a homemade parts washer thread on MGExp.com in which HiPowerShooter is recommending converting an old crock pot into a heated parts washer, with the addition of a colander and possibly a fine mesh window screen for smaller parts: Home made parts washer (Page 2) : MGB & GT Forum : MG Experience Forums : The MG Experience .

Good alternatives, Colin. I like the idea of preheating welding rods.
