Dashcam footage of last weekend's crane collapse in Seattle - video and photo
-
can understand her expressions WTF & OMG but what about the ones suffering the fallen mess?
-
That section of crane probably has twice as much steel in it as the 3 cars it pinned. Some of those people never knew what hit them. :(
On another note – it must've been a long ride down, for the worker(s) killed in the crane's cab. Damn. (They were getting some horrible high winds, at the time.)
-
Seems like so many of those cranes fall. I realize that many more do not fall, but way too many seem to be operated by people who should not be operating them.

An interesting in-depth look, at why the crane fell.

Extremely sad for all involved & the decision maker will probably spend time to contemplate that ill thought action.

Death, destruction and disregard. Note plenty of drive-aways, not one hint of a door opening to administer aid. The forty second delay of one parties action is non-productive as well.

Can't help but wonder if, in attempting to remove the cab assembly — which became stuck — extra, upsetting forces, could've helped dislodge connections below. Apparently, once so many of the pins were removed, it didn't take much.
