Previously, I showed a http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/d...2507#post76488, made with sanding drums and a fence. In this version I used a 3.5” Ø sanding disc made with a plate and shank, reused from a discarded laboratory apparatus. The thickness is achieved vertically, between the sanding disc and the drill press table, so it can sand larger pieces than when using sanding drums.
In the first try I glued sanding paper to the disk, so it wasn't easy to change it for other grits or when it was worn. In the next try, I glued Velcro strips to the support, and to the sandpaper discs, which let easily change between sanding grits.
Regards, morsa.
