Thanks Tuomas! We've added your Drilling Station to our Drilling and Drill Presses category,
as well as to your builder page: Tuomas's Homemade Tools. Your receipt:

A beautiful idea anyone can use here is that simple crude "L" shaped block that Tuomas uses as a drill and tap guide for vertical positioning. My sound wasn't working so I am left a little mystified over the saw and blade used for cutting that heavy hot rolled steel plate.
You didn't lose anything when missed the voice, i don't talk in my videos. Saw is this: https://www.amazon.com/Evolution-230.../dp/B002UTPCZM
Cheaper option is to use 7 1/4" steel blade : https://www.amazon.com/Evolution-Pow.../dp/B002M9D2PM
In this rage 185b model. It comes with multiuse blade that cuts steel too, but multiblade is little slower when cutting steel. But, it also cuts wood and plastics. Works specially nicely with alumine.

Note that, evolution saws uses slower 3200rpm speed than regular saws.
Tuomas - Thanks for the info on saws and blades. Should work well on another project of mine involving long cuts in .125" (approx. 3mm) hot rolled steel sheet.
Another comment: Your video is an excellent presentation of what can be done with a magnetic based drill. I'm getting a little old to lift and carry one of those things; but I have a small hydraulic shop crane on caster wheels adapted from a hospital patient lift rated to 300 pounds. The crane breaks down into two sections, mast, boom and hydraulic cylinder and the other a 4 caster base frame.

Made a drawer where to keep clamping gears and stuff. No front- or back plate to keep it easier to clean.
Made from left over sheet metals. 2mm mild steel, 1,5mm acid proof steel (upper part) 8mm flat bar.
Bends made with my diy brake and riveted with steel pop-rivets.

Tuomas, that is a really sweet setup. I quickly looked for a magnetic drill press here in the US, and the cheapest I saw was $699, so probably not doable for most folks here. Certainly not for me anytime soon, but it's all your fault that I want one now! ;)
Hi, my name is Bill, and I'm a tooloholic!

Yep, those are somewhat expensive.
My friend has this.

Its about 420$ here. But, not suitable for bigger drills. ( Max diameter 1 1/4" ) of course that's enough in most cases.
I like that best part in my drill is that it can be used with 2" cutter.. bad thing is that good 2" cutter for 2" deep holes cost about 80$ itself. :(
