We have the same shipping from the US to Australia problem with Amazon but often if you contact the vendor on their own site they will happily ship to you by 4th class air mail. You should try that option first.

If an item is sent US Post and there is track and trace on the package it will get to Aus within two or three days then most parcels to me recently have taken around 12 days from Sydney to me - a transport speed of less than 100 miles per day.

Track and trace items from the UK disappear from the system the moment they pass into AusPost's hands and about 30% never arrive.

AusPosts answer every time is contact the shipper. !@#$%

And I will not use Fedex. Because we live 400km from the state capital they hand the parcel over to AusPost for untracked delivery but show the item as delivered on their own web site. And they refuse to reply to where is my package emails.

Seeing this chuck taken apart brings to question the dismantling of these small chucks - do you have any advise on the dismantling of a Yankee Screwdriver Chuck for servicing? Any information on taking these small chucks apart would be most appreciated?

Thank you for suggestions submitted with regard to Google Search.
Have previously searched all links offered in your comment without success of finding any related info on the CHUCK - Info is very informative in dismantling and servicing the Yankee Screwdriver but nothing about dismantling of the chuck ie. Taking the CHUCK apart?
If I have missed something your enlightenment will come as as most appreciated.

Jacobs makes a pin chuck I have one in my tool box. If you need to disassemble a chuck open the 1/2 way and press the outer sleeve off. So if the clamping range of the chuck is from 0- 1/2" open the chuck 1/2 way I usually use a rod the proper dia. and clamp it lightly so you can remove it. Don't beat on with a hammer be gentle

The chuck is spring loaded and very difficult to hold open.
If this is not too an inconvenience - do you by any chance have any diagrams or pictures for me to see in detail what section is clamped to work it apart?

Dismantling of a Yankee Screwdriver Chuck
These chucks are not meant to be user serviceable but having a closer look at the one I have I noticed a small pin fixing the front collar to the chuck body which stops the collar from sliding forwards, this appears to be a blind pin so would need drilling out and replacing with a new one and I am guessing not the easiest thing to re-assemble.

I know the urge to repair can border on obsession sometimes (I speak from experience) but these screw drivers are so cheap on Ebay is it worth it?, power tools( namely impact drivers) have made them an unwanted item to most but I still use mine for those stubborn screws.

I never had one of these chucks apart. I do have one I will look at it and see with what I come up with. The explanation I gave was for Jaycob's or chuck that are copy's of Jaycob's chucks. Jaycob's offers replacement jaws, I have repaired many of them
