Fast and easy knife sharpening Jig

Simple easy way to get machetes, axes, knives razor sharp using knives (box cutter blades).

You now have a use for dull box cutter blades
Sometimes you just need to sharpen a few things quickly and easily so I came up with this jig and it works surprisingly well. It involves taking two box cutter blades and aligning them in a v shape in a vise. Then all you do is draw the knife or tool you want to sharpen thru the v a few times till desired sharpness is reached. It works exactly like those draw style sharpeners you see for sale that go for anywhere from $5-50 sometimes. so instead of reaching out for the old file or wet stone give this a try you might find it easier and less time consuming.

although I don't recommend you sharpen your wives kitchen knives with it

    Cheers

Thanks for sharing. That's a lot of shavings. Just a heads-up to those who can't tolerate screeching metal, prepare some earplugs.

Cool idea! I usually reach for an angle grinder with machetes and hatchets, but this looks like a much cleaner method.
