    Actually, I think I remember seeing something similar described long ago in one of the Popular... magazines.

    i can see that going pear shaped when someone slows/stops their descent and a few more pile into them. Major blockage, multiple injuries, fatalities....

    I would use it. I have seen them in use on construction sites for dropping stuff over the side of the building into a container below. Sometimes it's a garbage dumpster and sometimes it's just a hopper.

    I agree that the colon could become constipated by multiple people so one or maybe two at a time max.

    Perhaps a bottle of cod liver oil at the entry hatch to facilitate free flow.
