Forging a 1kg (2.5 lbs) Cross Peen Hammer

    Build video:

In this video I make a cross peen hammer from a piece of truck axle. This steel was very tough to forge and with my poor punches and drifts it took a lot of time.

I left the part when my drift broke just to show how steel breaks when it's improperly heat treated.

For the handle I used a broken off axe handle that I got as a gift. I made it into an octogonal shape which is very comfortable to use and hold.

If you want to see a real expert forge a cross peen hammer watch this video from Brent Bailey:

Hope you like it and please like, comment and subscribe.
