    Good leather bag

    Hi all!
I built a nice leather bag for my girlfriend birthday.
Very nice quality leather, waxed twine sewed by hand, I did a pattern on paper.
    That's my first girl bag

I attach the fb link of the album, I don't know why but the picture loader of this site is running only one pic at time

Beautiful work Stefano. Looks very professional. And looks like it can hold a lot!

Coincidentally my dad found a leather belt pouch for a flask I made for him in the 70's when I was working for a small leather co. Geez is short for geezer which is what I called him back then.Good leather bag-image.jpgGood leather bag-image.jpgGood leather bag-image.jpg

    Hello!
I tried some months ago to do a leather leg belt, because I needed a good western style, sturdy bag for heavy purpose.
I'm searching for a good sewing machine

Uhhh, it's as big as my monitor! Can she lift it?

Really, it is very nice. Stitchwork is very uniform, craftsman-like bound edges, not machine made, or mass produced. I'm sure she'll use it with appreciation.
    Sincerely,

    Thank you!
It's pretty big, that's true! I tried to copy the size of another bag, it's impressive how many different objects a girl can put in a bag
I didn't find a pattern template, so I decided to try to draw one, luckily I did a good job
The worst part was to paste the flaps, the super glue for leather did a perfect job, I used hollow punch with hammer on anvil, I found out I'm fine with this setup, more control on tool and better holes.
She appreciated it very much, but the next day when she showed it to her relatives, above all the women wanted the same bag for them!

I have to find a good sewing machine for shoemaker, it's difficult to find (for example) an old singer 29k, here people is mad, high prices for scraps.
One of the projects I would like to try is to replicate a motorbike jacket with a nice leather. I have a wonderful Arlen Ness Jacket, 13 years, used every day as normal coat, i'm thinking to copy the parts and try to hand sewing. It should be a very hard job!
