    high speed drill.

This drill was made to complement my Unimat DB200 lathe. It has a 4"stroke and the capacity can be increased or decreased by moving the motor up or down using a threaded rod on the back post. The motor is rated to over 20,000 rpm's on 36Volts.I run it on an 18Volt wall mount transformer ,it has good torque.RPM's are controlled thru a potentiometer .Chuck quill return is thru a spring taken from a 8mm camera.Base is a quartz cut-out off a counter top.Unit is bolted with "T"nuts drilled thru base.Wiring is hidden in holes drilled thru quartz base.

I posted in the other thread but I have to say I really like this little drill press. Put some linear scales on the DY table and you an do arrays of holes with ease. Think printed circuit boards and the like here. In any event it looks to be one handy machine.

Nice job Big O, very clean build. I like the idea of using the quartz counter top also...stable, easy to clean and doen't absorb oil and chips. Thanks for sharing your build.

Yes, the motor. Where does it come from? I sure would like one of these.
I see you are in Prescott, well I'm just down the road in Mesa.

Motor is a 775 12v- 36v Dc. With a B10 chuck. Bought from Ali Express, for less than $20 bucks. Walmart has them, also Ebay. You will also need a controller to
regulate speed. These motors are popular with the RC. car builders. I run it on a 18v. transformer, scrounged off a back-vibrator. Excellent when useing small high-
    speed drills.
