A fine build Celsoari! Looks like a fine burner also...is it homemade also? Brought that leaf spring (5160) up to nice temp in fairly short time. Looking forward to see what you build with it! Thanks for sharing your fine build!

great work!! Ive been wanting to build a furnace so I can cast some aluminum stuff.

I've got my furnace working fine too though mine is intended for melting aluminum mostly. I can bring a loaded 6# crucible to melting temp in 14 minutes and that's good enough for me. However, I have intentions of casting some iron in the future and so I'm currently working out a design which will reach that temperature, and furthermore I want it operate less expensively than propane which I'm currently using so I'm working on a design which will burn used motor oil because I can get buckets of that free. I bought a scrapped Kia engine at the junkyard for $40 and I've already broken it down and cast it into 57# of nice casting aluminum ingots and today I've been making a metal flask to try my hand at lost foam casting of new pulleys to upgrade the drive on my drill press. Look into oil burners if you want to go hotter or do it cheaper, they can be ridiculously simple to make.
