Thanks captainleeward! Guess I was too quick off the mark there. I've added your Shrinker Stretcher Stand to our Metalworking and Storage and Organization categories, as well as to your builder page: Patrick's Homemade Tools. Your receipt:

Out of ignorance, I'm sure, but what actually is a shrinker-stretcher (apart from something that shrinks and stretches) and what is it used for?

I'm not sure if this is something else I need or not

Doc Don't feel Bad. if your not in the sheet metal fabrication trade no one would know what this tool is.
simply put it stretches sheet metal and it shrinks it by two jaws pulling or pushing sheet metal.
mostly used for shaping auto fender wells, door jams or bowls and sometimes
metal art projects. Thanks for asking...:O)

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm just learning how to weld and I thought "Wow - I might need one of these"

Yes Then the back ground is just a big mess, after I finish a project then I have to put back all the tools and clean up the mess.
