Glad you posted this Jon. Thank You! It's one of my all time favorite YT vids...watched all of his vids and worth the watch IMHO. Very interesting and nice guy too, but hasn't posted too much after this.

Glad you liked it. I actually posted one of his other YT videos, and then I commented in the YT video, saying I had posted it on HomemadeTools.net. Then he suggested this video for us.

    Thank you sir!

I'm trying to encourage more posting that is technically or DIY-culture valid, but not necessarily "Here's a tool I just built". Some of it is "lite" DIY content, like machine GIF animations, and some is high-quality technical posts that are more shop or build related than narrowly targeted to homemade tools.

Thank You Jon! Is not nearly enough for what you bring to us here!

I love the idea of that as part of your great forum here. Paul and my son got me going on Pinterest and find a ton of stuff, but sadly, rarely delivers any decent content. Think you know be by now, I'm all over the board and pretty eclectic some times but have a board called Engines, Motors, Power Plants, Design that have a few cutting edge animations and interesting builds I've run across. Take a look, and if I find other things along that path way or other research, I'll pass them on to you for dissemination as you see fit. Not sure I'm qualified to judge and post some of the stuff directly.

To me that "a picture is worth a thousand words" is very valid for the HMT/DIY in me, stirring some light to some other thing. As C-Bag calls it "Rabbit holing". For me it allows allows the data base to tie somethings together either in new form or more functionality. Count on me to Rabbit hole this forum more now!

    to you Fine Sir!

    Paul Jones's Tools
    Jon and PJs,

I like to see a lot more than just "Here's a tool I just built" and a few photos. I find the written information describing techniques, cutting tools, how they came upon the idea, and links to other information just as valuable as the photos. Sometimes I will ask questions if this information is missing but not everyone on HMT will do this. When I see a short one or two paragraphs of info included with the photos, I know whoever posted the tool is probably very willing to answer even more questions and/or observations by other HMT members.

However, photo is worth a thousand words when I search the Internet with Google and usually include the command word "image" becasue when I see it, I know it, and then go for the written info.

    Thanks for posting these articles,
    Paul
