Link above is "Confirmation of channel subscription" - could perhaps be corrected, if you're not desperate for subscribers, of course?

I think your kind of right that I should use different tactics in my videos and descriptions to gain followers. But being rude isn't really a good way to go. Just saying.

Looks a wee bit lightly constructed to me; lathe stands, particularly wood lathe ones, generally benefit from a lot of mass to damp vibration; you'll notice that really quick if you start turning a sizeable natural chunk-o-tree for a bowl or something.

I used this one https://www.popularwoodworking.com/p...e-lathe-stand/ and a similar design in this book https://foxchapelpublishing.com/lath...op-manual.html as inspiration to build mine. The top is ¾" mdf screwed to a base of a 2x10 forming the top of the lathe.

Note the bag of sand on the Popular Woodworking one. There's room for that on mine. Even with the really small branch in the lathe in this picture there was some noticeable vibration at first, and it was only about an inch and a quarter or half in diameter to start (a well aged mesquite tree trimming.)

At first I noticed it wobbled quite a bit. Then I ended up bolting the table onto my existing work bench (the black workbench) which is much more sturdier. Now it's in solid.
