    Homemade press

    Made a press.

Later im going to add brake and rolling possibilities to it, that's why i placed jack down.

    Homemade press-1.jpg

"sled" takes support from the cylinder of the jack, that makes it to travel straight.

    Homemade press-2.jpg

    Plan:

    Homemade press-new-image.jpg

    Homemade press-feets.jpg

Welds made with Esab ok 73.15 welding rod.
Extra support rods on the top are just " if i someday need to use it with stronger jack, i can use it on traditional way ( jack placed up )".

    Here's first adds to it.

    "Finger"

    Homemade press-1.jpg

    Bending brake.
Opening in the blade allows me to bend u-shaped parts.

    Homemade press-2.jpg

Another blade without opening, for thicker materials.

    Homemade press-20180110_152803.jpg

Easy to change and mix blades and facings for desired radiuses.

    Material: 10mm steel plate, 3x 30x 30mm L-profile, 40mm axle

Another facing. Clearance between rods is 15mm. Radius of the rods 20mm.

For bending over 90 degree angles to plate between 1-5mm, and 90 degree angles for plates between 1-10mm.
    Suits also for straightening.

    Homemade press-new-image.jpgHomemade press-new-image2.jpg

Plans for two tools as an example.

    Homemade press-tool1.jpgHomemade press-tool2.jpg

    Video shows the use:

    Brake works nicely:

    Homemade press-clamp.jpg

    Simple pipe bending attachment.

    Material:
Surplus steel, nylon replacement heads from the dead blow hammer, bolts.

    Attachment 21530

It can be used to bend pipes and rods to 12mm diameter. ( grooves on the dies are with 12mm diameter )

Same idea works with bigger pipes too, radius of the center die needs to be bigger than this one tough.

Next add is a roller bender.

One thing I like about having the jack underneath is it lowers the center of gravity and places the handle at a height where you can bare down instead of pulling down
Nicely done and your first additions to it add to the cool appeal
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use http://kbs.justoldtrucks.com/

    Thank you very much Frank.
I must say that im very satisfied to the result.

I will continue with the roller bender add little later.
I build the press for making set of clamps. I need to finish those first.

    Plan:

Stucture is tested with 6 ton jack.
Frame doesn't bend when pressing with full force.

Welds made with Esab ok 73.15 welding rod.
Extra support rods on the top are just " if i someday need to use it with stronger jack, i can use it on traditional way ( jack placed up )".

    Homemade press-soikkeli-press.jpg

    Homemade press-feets.jpg

Another facing. Clearance between rods is 15mm. Radius of the rods 20mm.

For bending over 90 degree angles to plate between. 1-5mm

    Homemade press-new-image.jpg

    Homemade press-new-image2.jpg

    Tools are made from:

    10mm steel plate, 3x 30x 30mm L-profile, 40 and 20mm axle

Clearance between rods in the lower facing is 15mm. Radius of the rods 20mm.

Its for bending over 90 degree angles to plates between 1-5mm, or 90 degree angles to plates between 1-10mm, it also works as a facer when straightening bent bars.

Blade with the opening allows me to bend U-shaped objects.

Plans for two tools as an example.

I appreciate your design as well, so [after our weather!] will produce 2 such frames. For some unknown 'don't know why' I want a screw press too. What I do know, when it comes to straightening parts, screws with sufficient tonnage are the ticket. Quite sure this frame will accept a nut and lead screw from either end.
    Sincerely,
