like.going to make one for myself.thanks
Hello bstanga,
Thanks for taking the time to make the vid. Nice work.
I could not but notice the slippage in the tailstock though, if I may make a suggestion? Have a roll of bog paper handy at all times and always wipe the shank before insertion, you can also lay a piece around the shank and use it to clean the bore,(toilet paper is cheap and there is no temptation to save for another day unlike rag). If you have 'skid-marks' use some toothpaste as the abrasive and lightly lap your shanks to the bore of the tailstock. You will get a matt finish but you will also get a proper grip. If you find spotty contact you may have to invest in a reamer. If a Morse Taper ever slips stop and find out why, usually it is a slight oil film but if left it will bugger both the tool and the socket.
I hope this is of some help,
Barry.
Hi Tsanga,
I've looked your video with interest, but why put in it those disturbing images, they cause total alarm against fraud on my computer???:headscratch:
