    How to upload photos...

As part of our continuing efforts to improve the site, we've recently upgraded some of the server software on which HomemadeTools runs. Unfortunately, that upgrade has had the entirely unintended effect of altering the photo uploading process.

Those of you who've uploaded images in the past have been familiar with the Insert Image toolbar button. Currently, use of that button results in an image link being inserted into your post, rather than the actual photo, itself. Rest assured, we're working on restoring the original functionality.

Meanwhile… Please follow these steps to include inline images with your posts:

    - Click the "Manage Attachments" button in the Additional Options section below the main text editing area

    - Click the "Add Files" button in the upper right

    - Click "Choose File", do so, then click "Upload"

    - Click the "Insert Inline" button in the lower right

And, presto! Yes, it's a little labor-intensive, but it works. We'll get the original functionality restored ASAP.

Thanks but this doesn't seem to work for me either. Frustration is added when every time I click "preview the changes" it crashes. Ugghhh, I give up.

Please don't give up; we're working to restore the original functionality just as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile, try posting without previewing. If a particular post needs work after the fact, you could always use the "Edit Post" button to make any necessary changes.
