    Howdy! Name is Sam!

Former farmer interested in learning how I can make my 46hp Yanmar engine work in a home built tractor--I've owned a Super C and International Hydro 100 with bucket!

I need to find how to adapt common truck parts to make a tractor based on c-channel or rectangular tube- Transmission, rear end-- 3 point hitch with PTO capabilities--

I came across this engine that has been through a fire--It was used on a reefer truck--I'm taking the engine in to a machinist to see if its damaged--if its repairable, I'm getting parts ready to make it happen--

What do want the tractor to do ?

Seems like finding a older tractor with a blown engine in the HP range of Your engine would be a good idea

I second SoCalDeere, why reinvent the wheel? That said if you have the tools and the knowledge you can match anything to anything just about. Going to be VERY expensive if you have to start paying someone else to do the work.

What do You want tractor to do ?

Lawn scapeing mowing or bush hogging dirt moving road gradeing

Lifting and moving bulk material digging / backhoeing

Granted most tractors can do all of the above and probley will do at some time with proper attachments

Try Tractor Forum and also look on youtube. A MTF member built a full size articulating tractor using scrap vehicles and parts.

This is his youtube channel. Great vids. His build thread was on MyTractorForum.
