Are you using any 'glue' to hold the wood chips together? I am part of the leadership at a non-profit makerspace and in our wood shop we have a lot of wood chips going to the trash each week. I've been trying to think of a way to make them useful and not waste so much, I hate wasting and it costs us to dispose them... One of our members was telling me about making the dust/chips into heating wood and then I see what you made!
I'd love any advice you might have on this. Your machine looks really good, professionally built! I run a welding and fab shop (16 years), I've built all kinds of things and I wish half of my employees could fab like you!

No glue is used. The second image and the part I hold in the hand on the back side is narrowed to about 5 °. This creates a great friction and thus the temperature that clings to pieces of wood.
There is also another option that some of them are doing that this part has additional electric heaters that heat the wood to the required temperature.
If not a clear principle I can draw.
