Hydraulic jack pad

Thanks for posting this. I wonder if UHMW would work better? I have that laying around where I don't have polyurethane. The thing that's held me back from making something like yours is on my emergency car jack is the worry it would make it slippery as compared to the bare metal on the jack. On the shop floor where I'm going to put stands under it, no big deal. But out on the road somewhere in a less than optimal place with no Jack stands.......

Uhmw isn't a good chioce due their low drag coefficient. Easyer jack slip.
Buy a good size polyurethane rod. It will be greath to make buschings, dampers, seals, hammers, springs.....
