I noticed a category for trailers and didn't want to post in tools, so I hope this is the correct spot. Here is a motorcycle trailer I built from an old boat trailer. It is a tool to me because I am in the wrecker business. The only thing new I bought was the shocks. Everything else was pieces and parts I had around or things donated from friends. Wow. I'd say it's overbuilt for a motorcycle trailer! Considering though that it originally was a boat trailer, it would have been foolish to weaken what is a solid foundation. Great build!
I get carried away, but remember I have a wrecker service and the bikes I haul don't run, so I needed a way to load by myself. Hauled everything from 6 cyl goldwings to mopeds. Thanks Jonathan

Agreed with Jerrdan john; this is a tool, and should be added to the Trailers and Towing Tools category of the encyclopedia.
Thanks so much for sharing. Personally it was not overbuilt as I'm a strong believer in safe over sorry when working by yourself.
Great design and execution. Love the shocks for the telescoping duty as that something I would have scratched my head how to do easily. I wish I'd run into hydraulics like you seem to run into.

Totally agree with C-Bag. When it comes to safety, nothing is overkill.

Unique design, I like it a lot for the function for which it was designed. There isn't much harder loading than loading a dead 900 lb motorcycle by yourself without hurting yourself or dinging up the scoot. We seem to be a bit alike, insofar as building something out of what is laying around the shop or stuck in the woods. "Overbuilt" is not a word in my vocabulary.....well, if you'd have built it out of 6" I beam or 12 lb/foot 6" channel...maybe. Another good build sir.
