    LastingBuild,

Thank you for sharing the video for building the saw and the techniques for preparing and finishing the saw. I enjoy doing finish carpentry and this type of saw would be very useful for doing fine coping saw work for joining wood moldings. In most houses the inside corners are not really truly at 90 degrees when installing moldings and using coping techniques for creating the corner joints are a better way to have more seamless joints that stay tight for years.

    Regards,
    Paul Jones

Thanks. I have only recently began to put the saw into use and I can say it works better than I expected. I'm really happy about it and will probably build a bigger one at some point. Maybe with a 24" blade. I really appreciate all the nice comments. I plan to post a video soon of the saw in real use!

Nicely Done LastingBuild. Great detail and craftsmanship...and a handy little saw. Videography was excellent also (good lighting and shot selection) with the tribute credit and good choice in music. I had never heard of beeswax and olive oil but that seems like a great combo. Can you share the proportions of oil to wax, please. I'd like to try it.

Thanks for sharing your build and looking forward to more.

    PJ,

    Thanks a bunch!

I honestly don't know the ratio. I just mix the two together until I get a good paste! I have had some folks question the combo as they have said olive oil can get rancid. I have not experienced that however. The beeswax and oil smell amazing!

    Thanks for your interest.

Most welcome LastingBuild. I have to find my beeswax but I'll give it a try. Actually I think I got an olfactory whif when watching your video...I bet it does smell amazing. Thanks again!
