Very cool, love the brass. You've got me wanting to make some, where can I find patterns for the arms? Thanks.

Here is a set of plans that are similar to what I made. Complete .pdf with drawing and dimensions.

Cool, thanks. I did a quick google search and didn't come up with much. Got a real small set and am wanting larger ones now, plus it looks like an interesting project.

It is a good project. The sides can be fastened with rivets, screws and nuts, or even threaded rod with cap nuts.
Very useful in the shop when completed and the jaws can be customized for the kind of work you do.
    Quite versatile old school clamps.

Please help with some basic dimensions, distance to pivot points and material thickness, the rest can be figured out

    Try this link:

Lumberjoe made me do it! - by oldnovice @ LumberJocks.com ~ woodworking community

There is a link to download the same .pdf that I posted earlier.
I am able to download from both links.
One thing to try is to use a different browser to download the file.

This lumberjocks has some good info.

    Worked with different browser.

I see you have an extra kick where the jaw blocks fit in.

Just a little design variation in the clamp. Still works the same but might just look a bit better.

Nice work on the brass clamps!

They would be nice for welding projects but would never look the same afterwards. The idea being that brass should resist splatter.

Thanks Wizard69, I had in mind using them where I did not want to scratch the finish on the parts.
By replacing the steel screws and nuts they would be great in areas of high magnetism.
I think I would just make up another set out of steel for welding!

    Cheers, JR
