I guess I never quite got the whole rat rod scene, even though I've built a couple for some guys. While building them out of scrap and junk makes for a cool project what good are they once completed? For the most part all are extremely uncomfortable to drive or ride in. Few can be used to haul anything and when there is no show or event gathering to take them to about the only thing they are good for is to occupy space while being another burden on your insurance policy. And in general if building a rat rod with the intentions of selling it for a profit you should have a prospective buyer lined up prior to building the thing
