Led holder Mk2 - heavy duty

    Hi all!
I built with a friend a second version of Led holder.
i will use on my new amplifier for ESL headphone, I also have to build one for my milling machine, as main voltage indicator.

i used solid brass, hand polished with M12 thread, 19mm dia, useful for ultrabright 6mm unit, connected to 230v single phase with cap-diode-resistor.
Heavy and shiny, as I like. I decided to make it big because the new Esl power unit will have only the headphone connector in the right position of front panel, I needed something to balance.

Hi! The new amplifier is not finished, since I need crucial components in order to finish the frame.
I build another amplifier for speaker, with a similar led holder, that's the result

you say "ultrabright 6mm unit, connected to 230v single phase with cap-diode-resistor. "
    what values are you using?
why the capacitor? (I can understand the resistor and diode.... is the cap to reduce the dimming during the missing half wave?)

Hi! The cap with AC should acts like a sort of resistor, because of the capacitive reactance. I used 0,01uF 400v poly , 1n4007 diode and 750 ohm resistor for UV led
