Lego bridge girder machine - GIF

It's hard to beat the Lego Liebherr LR 11000 crane, but here we have a Lego bridge girder machine. I believe this is technically known as a "launching gantry".

Here's a real-life version of this machine, the legendary SLJ900/32:

Those bridge girder machines are some cool works of are and real feats of engineering.
I designed and built a post tension form for bridge girders that were to be cast on sight for a highway being built in Afghanistan
Not anywhere near the size of the girders being placed in the video My girder form was for single girders at 37 meters long
Here is a couple of photos of the drawings and 1 actual photo of the form

I also designed this machine to walk roof girders the length of a building
Don't know if it was ever built the beams were going to be 40 meters in length and they needed to make 200 of them to be the roof beams of 3 buildings

the idea was to make a machine that would roll along temporary rails the beams would be placed on the rails of 1 end of the building then the machine would be connected on each end the beam would serve as the main bridging structure the pipe lattice was only to carry hydraulic lines and hold the machine together while it returned to be placed over another beam a small girder would be placed under the ends of the beam and 2 hydraulic pucks would lift it off of the rails just enough to clear for transport the crown of the beam would be captured with struts made into the machine to stabilize it

Wow, I can't even imagine having that much free time to build such a model. As for videos of these cranes in operation, watched many and each time I'm amazed.
