Lets Make - A Cold Juice Press

I had a couple of juicers but they were always a mess to clean up and often times they would get stuck with stuff inside. Then you had to take everything apart and put it back together wich made it even messier. So I thought I build a simple press that is easy to clean.

It’s all made from 36mm multiplex Plywood. Thats the good stuff. I get it for free sometimes when I buy lumber. The guys at the panel saw keep offcuts lying around and for a 10$ tip I can take as much as I want.

Any details on that stuff that you use for the release valve handle?

Hi Tony, I am sure Max Maker will answer your question about the Polymer but this interested me also and I found a link http://www.materialsampleshop.com/pr...lycaprolactone. that explains it all + a video. Very useful material that I was not aware of. As I understand it a more user friendly variant of hot melt glue. I may get some to play with.

Alan, a while back I got some Sugru https://sugru.com which I think must be a room temp version. It is more expensive and I think that it is the other stuff mentioned in the video, but my hearing is not great these days and sometimes I find it hard to understand what is being said in videos and TV.
Since I bought it I have not had a use for it. It comes in a pack with different colours each sealed individually. Once opened it has a limited packet life.

Don’t use Sugru! I hate that stuff. They are great at marketing, but their product is way to expensive, it has a short shelf life and it can only be applied once.

The stuff I used is just a thermoplastic similar to HDPE but with alower melting point. It is sold under the names polymorph, instamorph or thermomorph. You find a link to it in the instructable in the video description.
