Lined leather belt - DIY
Hi all!
As a small gift for Xmas I decided to build a belt for my girlfriend.
I used very good cowhide for internal and external layer, the interior is pressed leather.
The belt is 22mm wide, buckle is harp shape, pretty heavy. Waxed twine as usual.
It's the first time I use a water color for edges, to be honest I think I have to try the burnishing tool and maybe an hot blade, since the results isn't so good.
Any advice in order to improve aesthetic result?
As usual a ton of pictures

Hi rendoman,
I'm not a specialist, just making my own rifle slings for competition and some belts, but an idea for protectiong your seams againt abrasion, with a polished hammer you can hammer them until they are flat, that give a good aspect too.
For the edges, you can use hard wood polished and waxed in place of metal tools more difficult to make yourself, it's important to have all edges rounded and you make the radius you want for a more pleasant touching and visual effect.
For the holes spacing, you can find the tools in car boot sales, they are like stars mounted on a rod with different values for distance.
Have a nice day.
