One can tell the board was set up for the photograph by someone who doesn't play.
Normally, the board is placed so that each player has a white square at the lower right, i.e. the white main diagonal runs southeast to northwest.
That mistake isn't the worst, though. The rule for opening piece placement is "queen on color", e.g., white queen on white square, black queen on black square. This means that initially the queens (and kings) face each other directly across the board. In the photo the black queen is on a white square.

Have 2 boards half a globe apart and play your opponent. Yep I can see that. use to do it the hard way call out my move over the phone my opponent would update his board now It would be done for us Cool.
