    Hi captain,
You actually cut metal with a wood mitter saw or is it a special one designed for metal ?
Is it a 230mm angle grinder disk ?
    Interresting !
    Cheers !
    Christophe

Nice design for the clamps. I use a Diablo 10-Inch 80 tooth TCG non-ferrous metal saw blade to cut through aluminum stock but use need good clamps like yours to securely hold the aluminum. Can't take any chances with the set up. The aluminum cuts like butter and has a mirror finish.

Hay Paul , I cut mostly steel with mine . since I have been welding steel I have dropped aluminum for steel as I don't have the spool gun to weld aluminum. I try to use my band saw as much as possible as the cuts are really good. this saw works best when I have a lot of angles to miter and the metal not more than 1/8 inch thick. Some grinding required.

Good to know. When I am not cutting aluminum, I swap the Diablo non-ferrous blade for a reinforced abrasive cutoff wheel but have to move the miter-saw outside because cutting steel with my abrasive wheel seems to permeate the garage with the smell of burnt cordite and a lot of explaining to the family.
