Hi Guys,

I am an ex Electrical Fitter Mechanic now retired from Australia. I used to own a 3 foot between centres geared head lathe and a 3 foot table vertical mill but due to moving had to sell them as the new accommodation didn't have the room nor a suitable level floor in the garage (read workshop). Like most I found that life was hard without access to machine tools so purchased a small Mini Lathe a what the Americans list as a Grizzly 7 x 12, a Toy really but big enough to keep my hand in and make parts for my Firearms and continue building miniature ride on Steam Locomotives. Plan is to manufacture a milling attachment and a small dividing head for starters to get more use out of the machine. Great site with lots of talented people sharing their knowledge, thanks for letting me join you.
