Hi all,
Just joining this website to garner any additional information I can which will aid in the manufacture and building of stationary steam engines, which is one of my hobbies.
My workshop was my large garage which has now been extended by an additional 20 feet in length and 10 feet in width.
My current tooling includes a Hardinge HLV-H lathe with DRO, a Myford Tri-Leva lathe running a three phase motor via a VFD, a 626v type vertical mill with four axis DRO, so meaning the normal X, Y and Z plus a DRO on the quill, a Boxford 8" shaper plus the normal other tools sushi as a 4*6 hacksaw cutter etc.
My home is on Hampshire in England and I mainly use the old imperial measurement system though do also work in metric though feel a lot more comfortable with feet and inches, and thousands of an inch.
Mike
