Hi all

Ran across this site surfing for dowel making jig ideas for wooden toy projects I was making for my grand daughters xmas gifts. Tired of buying ill fitting dowels made from who knows what species of wood at the building supply stores. Although my primary interest is woodworking.... toys, games, gadgets, gifts, etc, I have also started to include metal working equipment and tools in my basement shop for mixed media ideas and up cycling projects I would like to attempt.
I am hoping to browse through the previous project posts and maybe add some comments in a few forums until I find where I feel I fit in and can actively contribute as my schedule allows.

It was actually the cane blank jig posted by Zylophile that caught my attention.... Will be building one for myself.
