Made my Power Hacksaw from plans obtained from myhobbystore.uk.
However I made substantial changes. Original plans were for a standard 12" hacksaw blade. the plans also called for some milling work (gear cutting) which was not available to me. I bought gears from RDG CO UK and aluminium pulleys

The changes I made were the following:
Made frame with 1" square tubing to suit 14' industrial hacksaw blade
Fitted limit switch to stop saw when cut finished.
Mounted stop start on contractor on saw.
Fitted a lubrication system to saw i.e. grease nipples and oil cups.
Location pin to hold saw arm in up position to safely access vice.
Made own version of vice. (Not quite 4" capacity)
Made bench fitted with castors for mobility.
In hindsight I should have made throat of saw frame deeper, but not going to change it.

Things I would change are:
1. Make throat of hacksaw frame deeper.
2. Make blade stroke adjustable to use full length of blade.
3, Make the whole vise adjustable in regard to positioning the vise along the blade stroke and I also would recommend using a power hacksaw blade as I did.
